GFW School Board Vacancy GFW Schools will have a vacancy on the board for the Gibbon voting district. Residents of the Gibbon voting district are eligible to apply, ensuring they meet all the requirements to be a school board member in Minnesota. The entities that comprise the Gibbon voting district are the City of Gibbon and the following townships: Moltke, Severance, Cornish, Grafton, West Newton and Lafayette.
Applicants should apply to the GFW Business Office by June 7th with a resume and written statement of why they would like to be considered for the school board along with proof of residency in the Gibbon district. The board will review the applications and make an appointment at the June 17th board meeting, with a start date of July 1st. Normal business hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:30 -4:30 pm.

6th Graders Plant Fruit Trees
Thanks to donation from SHIP grant our 6th graders helped us plant 30 fruit trees. These tress will provide fruit for our school lunch program.
7th Graders Plant Trees
7th graders take part in tree planting to upgrade the front of the building. Planning, measuring, and planting all done by Mr. Kaukola's math class.
Middle School Canoe Trip
7th grade paddlers. They went on their canoe trip Monday, May 20th as a part of Mr. Kaukola's science class.
