February marked the beginning of the next chapter for GFW Public Schools with all students from Pre-K through 12th Grade being under the same roof.

We know when starting a next chapter it's good to reflect on the past, so Mr. Werner captured some great photos of the GFW Middle and High School in Winthrop before the transition.

What are your favorite memories from the Winthrop building?

Due to local elections on Tuesday, March 10, we are changing the time of the 9-12 band and choir concert to begin at 8:01 p.m., a one hour delay from the scheduled time. The concert will take place in the commons area of our brand new school.

Students have been working hard to prepare for the concert!

Our Kindergarten Immersion students took their Camp In day to the next level with an amazing fort!

Last week was one for the history books as the newly crowned all time lead scorer in GFW Boys Basketball, Cole Jacobson, passed the 2,000 point mark for career points!

Superintendent Berg was at the Capitol today meeting with legislators to discuss how decisions made in St. Paul directly impact the financial and operational stability of GFW Schools.

State funding and policy decisions affect everything from our budget and staffing to the learning happening in our classrooms. Telling our story helps protect and promote responsible, sustainable solutions for our schools and community.

GFW elementary students had a great time during I Love to Read month with dress up days, an author visit, guest readers from GFW FFA and of course the annual Camp In!

Last Friday was a great celebration of our seniors at the Boys Basketball Game. It was an honor to be able to celebrate Landon Firle, Owen Swenson, Luke Bastian, and Cole Jacobson in their final season at GFW!

We were so excited to be able to hold an assembly yesterday to honor Brayden Miller and his team as they prepare for state. The coaches even joined to say a few words. We are cheering for you Brayden!

We love when hands-on learning makes a real impact! High School Shop students helped to install some great bookshelves in the reading nook located in the Business Center. Great work!

The GFW Community Bus is making a slight change to the schedule! The last Friday of each month will now have the bus parked at the GFW PreK-12 Facility in Gibbon.

This community resource is doing amazing things!

It was basically a second first day of school for our middle school and high school students this week and they did a fantastic job! Middle school students even got a little help from Ms. Wood with their new lockers.
