On the right are All State Candidates Mira Sjogren who is participating and Isaac Vos who is on the waitlist.

Congratulations to the senior Knowledge Bowl Team Black consisting of Kal Aden, Garrett Stegeman, Owen Swenson and Cole Jacobson for earning 7th place at the meet today!

Congratulations to GFW's own Kelly and Lane who, along with their team got third in skillathon as well as Quiz Bowl at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado. Kelly got fifth individual for quality Assurance, and Lane got Reserve high individual in evaluation and seventh high individual in Quiz bowl as well.

Tenth Grader Isaac Vos recently highlighted some work he completed on building a website for local business, Lolo's Chicago Style Hotdogs in Fairfax. We love to see our students contribute to community businesses!

The incredible students of GFW Middle School and High School Student Council were recognized last week! These students work hard to plan activities and fun events throughout the year. They meet monthly and occasionally on weekends to prepare. Thank you for everything you do!

For reward day, some students were able to join Ms. Wood for a walk to Roots coffee shop for a beverage and some time to socialize!

High School Student Council members helped to lead small groups during the fifth grade kindness retreat yesterday. We love when our students can work together across grade levels!




GFW Elementary Staff got festive and creative in a fun and intense gingerbread house decorating competition!
GFW 5th graders attended a kindness retreat yesterday put on by Youth Works. Four high school students, Mrs. Thompson, and Mrs. Schiro all helped lead the event. At the end of the retreat students chose one way that they could help kindness spread at school and committed to doing so. We look forward to checking in with students in the weeks to come!
