
The GFW MS/HS Student Council delivered donuts to students and staff during homeroom yesterday as a token of their appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication during MCA testing. What a great (and tasty) way for our students to support each other!







Ms. Ozabel's eight grade science class enjoyed being able to experiment with sound by analyzing the sound and vibrations of different items!

Today is Administrative Professionals' Day! GFW Public School has some of the best Administrative Professionals around, be sure to thank them for their hard work!




Today is National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We had some treats ready for our drivers this morning as shown by Joyce and Jerry. Be sure to thank a driver today for all they do to help the GFW Community!

GFW ECFE is revving up the fun with our annual Vehicle Fair on May 1 from 5:30-7 p.m.! This event is for families with children ages 0-5 years and their families. This will be a fun opportunity for children to explore a variety of vehicles and actually get up close and experience the feel and sounds of them. There will be many vehicles to explore, so join in the fun!


Our middle schools had a great time at the GFW Middle School dance last week!




Students in fifth grade got their hands dirty and planted trees today in celebration of Earth Day!

Lots of hard work and collaboration going on at GFW High School!




Our eighth grade students had a great trip to the state Capitol yesterday! State Representative Bobbie Harder was able to speak with the students about her work as a legislator. Students also got to participate in a mock debate on whether or not they felt social media should have more parental restrictions. So cool!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for our Groundbreaking Celebration! We had beautiful weather, a great turnout, and so much fun being able to connect as a community!








ECFE Trip: Come and enjoy time at Carlson’s Llovable Llamas with us! We will get a tour of the farm, we will play in the pen with the baby llamas, trail walk with your own llama and brush and help feed the llamas. What a fun day!

Have you ever wanted to make your own bread, cinnamon rolls, rolls, English muffin bread.
Well we teach you how to make all of these items in this class. You will be able to have samples in class and go home with recipes.

Nancy Guggisberg, a local artist, will come with the needed supplies for participants to paint their own floral “Van Gogh likeness” with step by step instructions on how to do so.



Students in first grade had been preparing for the eclipse in STEAM class. While it was too cloudy to see it outside they watched the live stream instead. They also created a model of the eclipse, using their head as the earth, a marble as the moon, and the classroom clock as the sun!

Over the weekend, some of our students who are members of Sibley County 4H participated in the Minnesota State 4H Project Bowl which tests their knowledge on different species of animals. There were four teams that competed in the General Livestock division and all four teams were extremely successful! Two teams took home champion plaques and two teams placed third for the state. Congratulations!
