
There was some extra activity at the new school site this week! You may have seen some corn being planted the new 15 acre GFW School Farm which was made possible thanks to the amazing involvement from the Farmer’s Legacy Fund and community contributions. What a great example of our community coming together around our students!



It was smoothie day at GFW Middle School and High School!


Come down to see the GFW High School Variety Show Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. Students will be performing your favorite tunes from across the decades as well as solo and small group acts. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students, kids not in school are free. We'd love to see you there!


Spring has sprung and Thunderbird Greenhouse is selling annuals! Stop by the plant sale at the greenhouse on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Cash or check will be accepted for payment.

Last week, students at GFW Middle School got to select from a variety of activities to take part in as a reward for all of their hard work and dedication this year! Some students chose to paint and created some amazing art!






Students in Abnormal Psychology class taught by Mr. Hentges went to The Eagle’s Healing Nest in Sauk Center to hear from the Veterans living there. They heard some amazing stories of struggle, resiliency, and triumph. The Nest has helped Veterans deal with their struggles by helping each other. The Eagle’s Healing Nest is run completely off of donations and Veterans helping Veterans.







It's always a great time to celebrate student accomplishments! Congratulations to Eden Messerli who placed third in the state for her Outdoor Recreation Proficiency and received the award at the State FFA Convention!

Another Mini Course option for middle school students was frisbee sports! Students got to play disc golf at Winthrop Park.

Today is School Lunch Hero Day and we are so grateful to all of our amazing food services staff who work so hard every single day to keep our students fed and ready to learn. Thank you GFW School Lunch Heroes!


Come see the 5-12 Bands and 5-8 Choirs on Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Middle/High School auditorium. They will be performing your Broadway and film favorites from The Lion King, Wicked, Hamilton, Star Wars, The Greatest Showman, and more!
