The incredibly talented cast and crew of GFW Theatre Arts are getting ready for their presentation of How the West Was Dun with shows this weekend! There will be public performances on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at GFW Middle School and High School.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased in the school office or at the door.

Let’s get creative! Join us for a Cards Class for Kids on Monday, Nov. 12 from 3:30-5 p.m. Just in time for the holiday season, kids will be using a variety of stamps, stickers, pencils, ink pads, paper and so much more to make their own greeting cards! Every child will be making 4-6 cards to take home. There is a $22/student fee that covers all class supplies. The class will be held at GFW Public Schools, Gibbon. Registration closes Nov. 5.

This fall, we are offering several 55+ Driver Discount Programs! These are renewal classes for those that have already taken the eight-hour course. The next class offered will be on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m -1 p.m at the GFW Elementary School in Gibbon.

The School Store class at GFW Middle School and High School has been busy working on business plans and opening the school store. There is lots of exciting things to come!

The GFW Firebirds football team was triumphant over the #1 team in section 2A and will advance to the Section Finals on Friday, Oct. 31! The game is at 7 p.m. in New Prague vs. Lester Prairie. Get ready to cheer on the home team!

Do you want to learn how to make jam or jelly? Join us and learn how to make it from scratch! Class participants will make jam or jelly during class and take two jars home with you! This class is Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in theGFW MS/High school kitchen (please enter through door #17 in back of school.) The class is $20/person and has a limit of ten adults.

Sibley County Public Health is offering a flu shot clinic. The clinic will be at the Elementary Site for staff and students Monday November 3rd in the morning, then at the MS/HS in the afternoon. This is optional for staff and students. Forms have been sent home with all students to share the information with their parents.

Learn how to master the kitchen in our After-School Cooking classes this fall! No cooking experience is necessary to enjoy these tasty classes. All students will learn how to make the meals together and enjoy tasting their creations! Next up on the menu is chicken parmesan sliders on Tuesday, Oct. 21!
