The beginning of the school year in Mrs. Hartmann's class has been a fun and exciting adventure. From the very first day, our classroom has been filled with laughter, creativity, and the sounds of discovery. The children are already showing a love for learning as they explore new concepts, make new friends, and engage in activities that spark their imagination. Whether it’s story time, art projects, or learning through play, each day brings a new opportunity for growth and wonder










There was a whole lot of school spirit going on at the Elementary Pep Fest this week!


Students at GFW Elementary participated in bus safety training today. They did a great job!




Another delicious breakfast today at GFW Middle School and High School with mixed berry parfaits (strawberries, raspberries , blueberries) Raspberries courtesy of Laura Palmer, and cereal. Thanks to our hardworking food service staff!


Friday, Sept. 27 is an early release day for all students! GFW Elementary School will release at 12:15 p.m. and GFW Middle School and High School will release at 12:30 p.m. There will be no PM PreK.


Last night was meet the candidates night for Homecoming Week. Juniors on student council ran the event with fun activities including thas the frozen t-shirt and guess the phrase. Happy Homecoming!

Students at GFW Elementary learn about the T-Bird Way and how to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe in different parts of the school and in the community. Second grader Jacob wanted to do a drawing to help everyone at school do their best and he did an awesome job!


Community Ed Trip: Stillwater Fall Colors Boat Cruise on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Hope is eternal, and we’ll hope for beautiful fall colors for this annual fall favorite! It is so relaxing and also a reminder that our seasons are changing. Bus transportation will be provided and the cost is $99 per person. Contact tonia.schiro@gfwschools.org for more information.


Students in 7th and 8th grade choir have been practicing hard and sounding great!


Teachers at GFW Middle School and High School have been going over the expectations on how to behave throughout the school and the community. Students are learning how to always do the right thing and support each other!

A special shout out goes to Rylie and Vayda who were recognized for showcasing the T-Bird Way by the food service team at breakfast yesterday. We love seeing our students being respectful and responsible members of our school community!


Everyone has so much fun when the Football Buddies come to visit at GFW Elementary! Students had a great time playing outside.



Fifth grade students at GFW Elementary presented to other students about how to live the T-Bird Way throughout the school. Way to go!

We love seeing the teamwork with members of the football and volleyball teams working together to make blankets that were sold at last week's games to raise money to battle cancer!

There's something special about a Friday night at a GFW football game!






Community Ed Class: Home Alone - Monday, Sept. 23 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Students in fourth grade or older will learn the basics of staying home alone and coming/going from home safely. Topics such as appliance safety, responsibilities, first aid and more. There will be time allowed for questions and answers from attendees. The cost is $45 per student, please register by Sept. 16.
